New Bürkert Segment Manager - Mr Uwe Krug

The world's leading fluid control organisation has appointed an engineer with extensive international experience in fluid mechanics and system design. 

Mr Uwe Krug (pronounced 'Oo-vey'), B Eng (Control Technology), offers hands-on product and system development capabilities stemming from his work with Bürkert Fluid Control Systems in a variety of positions, divisions and countries around the world.  As Regional Segment Manager, he will take responsibility for the identification and service of cross-industry similarities in fluid control management, grouping applications orientation.

Mr Krug's international background includes the design of new products, client systems and application solutions.  Supported by the global experience of 1,700 employees in 34 countries, Mr Krug will target new and existing local Australian markets with innovative product concepts and comprehensive system solutions.

Mr Chris Hoey, Managing Director of Bürkert Fluid Control Systems, says that Mr Krug has a thorough understanding of all areas of Bürkert technology, including solenoid and process valves, instrumentation, pneumatic actuation, fieldbus solutions, microfluidics, gas handling and process automation systems. 

"More than twenty years with Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has given Mr Krug experience working with technologies and applications that are of substantial interest to Australian industry, agriculture, and essentially any operation in which fluids and gases are transported and controlled," he says.

"Mr Krug spent almost a decade working in Bürkert's global design centres, and during that time literally wrote the technical product manuals for many of the world's most advanced fluid control components and systems.
