New Bürkert GM Sales Brings Fluid Control and Automation Expertise to NZ

Mr Tom Kirby will head a team of Bürkert Area Sales Managers located throughout New Zealand, supporting Bürkert's powerful technical service and support network in the region, which has been established for more than 25 years.

Bürkert General Manager Mr Brian McMath says Mr Kirby's experience as an Area Sales Manager with Bürkert in Melbourne has ideally equipped him to support customers in Bürkert's major antipodean markets, and will be invaluable in assisting clients with technical and practical solutions for efficient, accurate and appropriately specified initiatives.

"I will be retiring at the end of 2006, and Mr Kirby's appointment as GM - Sales is a precursor to his assumption of the role of General Manager at that time," says Mr McMath.

"Over the year Mr Kirby will be out meeting with clients and colleagues, getting to know the industry and letting the industry know him.  We have a gradual hand-over planned, in order to guarantee continuity of client service and support.

"Mr Kirby has the know-how and real-world application experience to add value to our clients' plants and processes.  We are pleased to welcome Tom Kirby to Bürkert in New Zealand, and look forward to a big year under his direction of the sales team," he says.

Bürkert's range of solenoid valves, pumps, analysers and dosing units has been developed to cater to all areas of industry, particularly including water and waste treatment, chemical, medical and analytics, electronics, manufacturing, food and beverage and textiles industries.  

The company's New Zealand head office is located in Auckland, with a regionally based sales team in place to service clients across the North and South islands.
